Hi, I'm Greg and I've been building a website dedicated to finding simple blogging solutions.

I've been around web development for quite a while and have enough of a technical background to make myself dangerous, but when I looked to find a way to start a simple blog in the past I always found it daunting.
My goals had been simple:
- A pretty website
- A fast website
- A CMS to edit content
Without costing a ton of money
That was pretty much it. I didn't want to get bogged down in writing a ton of code and I didn't want to have a nightmarish experience to load a page.
And I found that incredibly hard to actually find.
Its with that in mind that I'm creating this website. It'll be a perpetual work-in-progress, but hopefully it'll inspire you to build a simple site yourself.
Why this is a problem
While there are countless options focused on developers to build fast, simple websites (static site generators, etc) they tend to be incredibly unwelcoming towards the standard user.
You're most likely here since you either don't know how to code particularly well or don't want to code for a small website.
If that's the case, great.
You shouldn't need to put in tons of work to get a simple site up and running.
Why it matters
Simple blogging isn't necessary by any means, but making it available and accessible is important.
The internet continues to decline in quality over time as Google results tend to favor SEO-optimized content farms. Blogs historically had been one of the best sources for the internet's answers and with an easier way to blog, maybe that will come back a bit.
While this website will in no way bring back the heyday of blogs, maybe it'll inspire a few new interesting corners of the internet. Who knows!
The End Goal
The goal here is simple. Make blogging as easy and straightforward as possible and share the ways to do it.
That's it.
Now go out there and make a blog!
What now?
How to make a blog, you ask?
Well check out the directory of suggested blog sites. My current personal favorite for an uber-minimalist platform is bearblog.dev, but that will likely change on a month-to-month basis.
Happy blogging!
